Creation Camps & Other IBTI Programs
Bible Study Camps (English Medium) for girls were organised at Bible Centre since 1960s during Autumn (Diwali) and Winter (Christmas) school vacations. Similar camps for boys during winter vacation began from 1985 onwards. From 1994, the program of these youth camps included sessions on the wonders of nature and a daylong nature and adventure excursion. Since then, they are called Creation Camps.
Creation Camps are residential programs of a 5-day duration for junior-senior boys and girls together. Separate English and Marathi medium camps are held during the Autumn, Winter and Summer vacations each year. The focus of Creation Camps is on relating the Word of God to the practical aspects of the academic, home, church and social life of the contemporary youth. Camps have a stimulating mix of Bible study, music and indoor-outdoor activities based on the theme selected for each camp. The camps are held on the Bible Centre campus in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with discipline of Biblical ethics.
Bible teaching sessions are conducted by IBTI trustees with volunteers from churches helping in music, games, excursion and other indoor/outdoor activities.
Over the decades, youth from Pune, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Nashik, Nagpur and many other towns of Maharashtra have participated in Creation Camps.
Other IBTI programs such as retreats, family seminars and events related to Christmas and Easter are also held on similar lines.
